This belt works great if you remember to put it on. What was nice about the product, is that the company that ultimately shipped it to me accidentally sent out a medium size, and I was looking for a small. Incidentally, they only sold mediums and larges at my local Babies R Us. The company was very nice about correcting the problem. But, alas, I only remembered to wear it a couple of times. That being said, it tended to get hot and itchy under there, and I wouldn’t wear it directly against the skin, I always used an undershirt, and only wore it at work where I knew I’d be standing a lot.

  2. This belt is extremely uncomfortable. The band is too wide and makes it hard to sit, move, or sleep. It was not recommended by my physical therapist; she told me about one from Motherhood instead. Do not buy this device.

  3. As a nurse working on a busy medical unit, I have developed left sided sacroiliac joint pain. This support belt has helped tremendously. It takes away the sharp pains I feel with each step. I don’t use the top strap since it seems cumbersome but the belt provides good support.

It doesn’t always take away the pain 100% but it helps and is worth the $$ – a whole lot cheaper and more enduring than a massage :)

I researched and asked around for the last few days about good support belts. I’m currently 27 weeks and for the last 2 weeks or so have been suffering from both back pain and low abdominal pressure. I decided to go to a store to try some on and see what worked for me. I wasn’t thinking I would like this because it looks too bulky and as though it would irritate me but the second I put it on it felt great! I bought it from Motherhood Maternity for $38. So far it’s completely taken away the back pain and almost all of the abdominal pressure. I also don’t use the top strap, not sure that’s necessary.

It is annoying to take it off to go to the bathroom, but I imagine I would have to do that with any other band. Seems like it could get itchy or scratchy if worn directly on the skin but I just wear it over my secret fit belly from my maternity pants and that works out great. Plus you can’t notice it being worn under your clothes.

I definitely recommend the Loving Comfort band. It has completely eliminated my hip pain and almost completely eliminated my back pain. It somewhat alleviates the extreme pelvic/pubic pressure I feel, though not nearly as much as I would have liked. Overall, however, I’ve been much more comfortable, and I wish I hadn’t waited before deciding to try it! I find it perfectly comfortable: no scratchiness and I wear it against my bare skin. It’s just a matter of lining up the velcro appropriately. It fits without showing underneath the majority of my clothing (winter/spring). The only thing that doesn’t work is underneath lower waisted pants–I’m constantly pulling the pants up, and so the band comes up with them. I don’t use the top piece at all: not really sure what it’s for; I noticed no difference with or without.
